1. Keep reports genuine
Use the community board only for genuine lost, found, reunited or other Paw2Home-supported pet reports. Provide information you reasonably believe is accurate. Do not create hoaxes, impersonate another person, deliberately misidentify a pet or use a report to harass, threaten or embarrass someone.
2. Protect people's privacy
Use an approximate location such as suburb, state or postcode where that is enough to help identify or recover a pet. Do not publish an exact private home address, private finder address, financial information, passwords, government identifiers or other unnecessary personal information. Do not publish another person's phone number, email address or identifying information without an appropriate reason and permission or other lawful basis.
3. Photo rules
Photos must be relevant to identifying the pet or explaining the report. You must have the right or permission needed to upload the image. Avoid photographs containing identifiable people unless reasonably necessary and appropriate.
Do not upload pornography, sexual content, child sexual abuse or exploitation material, content promoting animal abuse, unrelated graphic violence, hateful material, threats, scams, advertisements, malicious links or other unlawful or seriously inappropriate material.
4. Sensitive photos
If Paw2Home supports reports about a pet that has passed away, photographs may be distressing. Sensitive images may be hidden by default behind a warning and deliberate reveal control. Upload only what is reasonably useful for identification. Paw2Home may hide or remove images that are unnecessarily graphic even where the underlying report is legitimate.
5. Found pets
Take reasonable care not to expose information that could help someone falsely claim a pet. Where appropriate, leave identifying details for a person claiming ownership to confirm. Paw2Home does not determine legal ownership of an animal. Consider contacting a veterinarian, council, shelter or other appropriate service for microchip scanning and local requirements.
6. Reunited reports
When a pet is safely reunited, update the report where Paw2Home provides that option. Paw2Home may retain a limited public reunion record or status so the community knows the report is resolved, subject to our Privacy Policy and removal processes.
7. Reporting content
If you see a report or image that appears to breach these Guidelines, use Paw2Home's reporting function where available or email support@paw2home.com.au. Include the report link and a short explanation. Do not redistribute unlawful or highly distressing material merely to report it.
For immediate danger, suspected criminal conduct, serious animal-welfare concerns or emergencies, contact the appropriate police, emergency, council, veterinary or animal-welfare service. Paw2Home is not an emergency service.
8. What Paw2Home may do
Paw2Home may review, hide, remove or restrict content, limit community access or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to enforce these Guidelines and our Terms, protect users, investigate misuse or comply with law. Serious or repeated misuse may result in permanent loss of community access.
9. Questions
Questions about these Guidelines can be sent to support@paw2home.com.au.
