Paw2Home legal

Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the Paw2Home website, accounts, pet QR profiles, Lost & Found community board and related services.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

1. Using Paw2Home

Paw2Home is a registered Australian business name operated by Brayden Terrence Rouen, ABN 62 144 654 542. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, submitting a Lost & Found report or using Paw2Home, you agree to these Terms. You must provide accurate information, keep your account secure and use the service lawfully.

2. What Paw2Home provides

Paw2Home provides QR-based pet identification profiles, a community Lost & Found service and related owner/finder features. Paw2Home is an additional identification and contact tool. It is not a government or council pet registry and does not replace microchipping, council registration, identification or other legal requirements that apply to your pet.

3. No recovery or veterinary guarantee

A QR profile or Lost & Found report can make it easier for people to share information and contact an owner, but Paw2Home cannot guarantee that a lost pet will be found, that a finder will scan a QR, that a report will be seen, that a finder will contact you, or that information supplied by another person will be accurate.

Medical, medication, behaviour and veterinary information displayed through Paw2Home is supplied by users. Paw2Home does not verify that information and does not provide veterinary advice. In a veterinary emergency, contact an appropriately qualified veterinarian.

4. Public and private information

A pet's QR link and Lost & Found community reports are designed to contain public information. Information marked or described as finder/public information may be viewed by anyone who obtains the relevant link or visits the community board. You are responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to make public. Information described as private care information is intended for authenticated account or authorised household access, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Do not publish an exact home address, private location, unnecessary personal information or other information you do not want publicly available.

5. Your information and responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping information you submit accurate and appropriate. You must not upload unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, exploitative, excessively graphic, hateful or infringing content; impersonate another person; make deliberately false lost, found, reunited or deceased-pet reports; interfere with Paw2Home; misuse finder information; or use the service for purposes unrelated to legitimate pet identification, recovery and care.

6. Community content and photos

If you submit a Lost & Found report, photograph, description or other community content, you confirm that you have the right or permission needed to submit it and that doing so does not unlawfully violate another person's privacy, intellectual property or other rights. You retain any rights you have in your content.

You give Paw2Home a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for as long as reasonably necessary to host, copy, resize, process, display and distribute that content through Paw2Home for operating the service, helping identify or reunite pets, moderation, security and legal compliance. This licence does not give Paw2Home ownership of your content.

Photos should be relevant to identifying the pet. Do not upload photographs of people unless reasonably necessary and you have an appropriate basis to do so. Sensitive photographs of a pet that has passed away may be hidden behind a warning or other deliberate reveal control.

7. Moderation and reporting content

Paw2Home may review, hide, restrict or remove community content where we reasonably believe it is unlawful, unsafe, misleading, inappropriate, unrelated to the service, infringes rights, breaches these Terms or Community Guidelines, or where removal is reasonably necessary to protect users or Paw2Home. We may preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary for security, disputes, legal obligations or investigations.

Users may report community content they reasonably believe breaches these rules. Reporting content does not guarantee removal; reports may be reviewed having regard to context, applicable law and these Terms. Urgent threats to a person or animal should be reported to the appropriate emergency, police, council, veterinary or animal-welfare service rather than relying on Paw2Home.

8. Products and prices

Paw2Home Digital is currently offered as a one-time purchase for one pet. An optional engraved package may also be offered at the price shown before purchase. The price and billing description shown immediately before purchase form part of your purchase terms and take priority if a clearly disclosed promotion or later price change applies.

Before you authorise payment, Paw2Home or the payment checkout will show the amount to be charged and whether the purchase is one-time. New Paw2Home Digital purchases do not automatically renew. Legacy recurring subscriptions created under an earlier pricing model remain governed by the terms disclosed when they were purchased unless Paw2Home confirms a migration.

9. Promotions

Any free or discounted offer will show its conditions before you commit. Promo-code access may have its own expiry, redemption limit or eligibility conditions.

10. Legacy subscriptions

New Paw2Home Digital purchases are one-time and do not require cancellation. If you still have a legacy recurring subscription, contact Paw2Home if you want future renewal stopped or migrated. Cancelling a legacy subscription is different from deleting your Paw2Home account.

11. Failed payments and price changes

If a one-time payment fails, the purchase will not be activated and you may try again. Any future price change applies only to new purchases unless otherwise clearly disclosed, subject to applicable law.

12. Product changes

Your permanent QR destination is designed to remain linked to the same pet profile. We may improve or change Paw2Home over time, but we will not use these Terms to remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Physical products

Paw2Home offers personalised QR pet tags and may offer other physical goods. Product description, price, delivery charges and material conditions will be shown at or before purchase. Physical products are additional to the digital QR profile unless expressly stated otherwise. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and checking personalisation information where it is presented for confirmation.

14. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law

Our Refunds & Cancellations policy explains our ordinary change-of-mind and cancellation approach. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where a Paw2Home product or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy under law.

15. Availability and third parties

Paw2Home depends on internet connectivity and third-party infrastructure. We aim to keep the service reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Links, maps, messaging, payment and other third-party services may be subject to their own terms and availability.

16. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paw2Home is not responsible for loss caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, misuse of the service, inaccurate information supplied by users or finders, or a person's decision not to scan, report or act on information. This clause does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, unlawful use, serious or repeated breaches of these Terms or Community Guidelines, or unpaid charges. You may stop using Paw2Home and may request account deletion, subject to records we are required or permitted to retain. Paw2Home attempts to cancel linked legacy recurring subscriptions before deleting account data. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, account deletion is stopped and you should contact support. New Digital purchases do not renew automatically.

18. Community Guidelines

Our Community Guidelines form part of these Terms when you use Paw2Home's Lost & Found community features.

19. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Queensland, Australia, subject to any mandatory rights that apply elsewhere. Questions can be sent to support@paw2home.com.au.
